COME TOGETHER. KEEP LEARNING

Our Clinical Skills Weekend was created to bring the Five-Element acupuncture community together - to practise, learn from one another and reconnect with the medicine we share.

Working in practice can sometimes feel isolating. Spending time together reminds us that we are part of something much bigger: a community of like-minded practitioners and students united by a shared passion for this extraordinary system of medicine.

Over the weekend, we return to the essential skills at the heart of our practice: point location, pulses and diagnosis through Colour, Sound, Odour and Emotion (CSOE). These are skills that develop over a lifetime. They need practice, refinement and the opportunity to be explored with others.

Working alongside colleagues at different stages of their journey and supported by experienced practitioners, gives us the opportunity to learn from one another, sharpen our perception and return to practice feeling more confident, more skilled and more connected.

AND THERE’S TIME TO ENJOY SITGES

The weekend is deliberately spacious. Each day includes a long break from 1pm–4pm, giving you time to enjoy lunch with friends, partners or family, wander through the old town, swim in the Mediterranean, relax by the sea — or even make a quick trip into Barcelona.

This is not intended to feel like another weekend in the classroom. It is an opportunity to immerse ourselves in the work while enjoying the camaraderie, generosity and pleasure of learning together.

Our supervisory team will be there to offer guidance and as much clarity as possible, but the spirit of the weekend is one of shared learning rather than hierarchy. Everyone brings something to the room and everyone is warmly welcome.

For consistency, we will work from the points contained in Volume 1 (the Red Book), record pulses by volume rather than quality and work with diagnosis through Colour, Sound, Odour and Emotion only.

  • Point location (all points, with demonstrations + hands-on practice)

  • IMPORTANT - we are using the locations found in the Worsley - Volume 1, Meridians and Points) book.

  • Starter Pack points for those who want to master the “essentials” beyond the Command Points)

  • Pulse taking (correct positioning, volume recordings and use in diagnosis)

  • Causative Factor (CF) Diagnosis (colour, sound, odour + emotion)

  • Informal conversation around the Spirit of the points (as time allows)

Accomodation in Sitges

IMPORTANT You are responsible for your own travel arrangements and accommodation.

We recommend booking accommodation in central Sitges, ideally close to Hotel Calipolis, so that you are near the seafront, restaurants and the workshop venue. Hotel Calipolis itself is on the seafront promenade, so using that as your reference point will make things easiest.

There are plenty of options within easy walking distance, including hotels, hostels, and apartment-style stays to suit different budgets and preferences.

We encourage you to book your accommodation as soon as possible after paying your deposit, as availability in Sitges can become more limited in early June. The options above include seafront hotels, central budget hotels and apartment providers in the town centre.

You are welcome to choose whichever option suits you best, but staying close to Hotel Calipolis / Passeig de la Ribera / central Sitges will make the experience simpler and more convenient.

By registering and paying the deposit for The Yellow Path 3-Day Clinical Skills Getaway — Sitges, Spain (May 21 - 24, 2027), you agree to the following terms:

1. Booking & Payment

A place on the course is secured upon receipt of a £150 non-refundable deposit.

The remaining balance will be collected via five automatic monthly payments of £60 until the full course fee of £450 has been paid in full.

By booking, you agree to the scheduled automatic payments. Failure to complete payments may result in the loss of your place on the course.

2. Cancellation Policy

The £150 deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.

Cancellations made after full payment may not be eligible for a refund unless your place can be filled by another participant (at the organiser’s discretion).

In the unlikely event that the organisers need to cancel the course, all payments made (including deposits) will be refunded in full. The organisers are not responsible for any additional costs incurred (e.g. travel or accommodation).

3. Travel & Accommodation

Participants are responsible for arranging and covering their own travel and accommodation (including flights, trains, and lodging). The course fee does not include these costs.

4. What’s Included

The course fee includes:

Three full days of supervised teaching.

Use of a treatment table for participants who will work in pairs)

Tea and coffee refreshments

5. Course Content & Participation

The teaching will focus on clinical skills including point location (based on Worsley – Volume 1, Meridians and Points), pulse taking and Causative Factor (CF) diagnosis.

Participants are expected to engage respectfully in hands-on practice and peer work.

6. Schedule

Participants agree to the scheduled teaching times:

Friday: 19.00 - 20.30 (Welcome drink)

Saturday, Sunday & Monday: 09:30–13:00 and 16:00–19:00 (Workshops)

The venue is available outside teaching hours but this is not formally supervised.

7. Optional Activities

Dinner with the group on the Sunday night at a local restaurant (cost: appoximately 45€.

8. Liability

Participants attend at their own risk. The organisers are not liable for:

Personal injury (unless caused by negligence)

Loss or damage to personal belongings

Travel disruptions or external circumstances beyond their control

9. Changes to the Event

The organisers reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the schedule, teaching format, or venue if necessary.
